Canine-human relationships are among the most powerful cross-species interactions most people have, however often our misunderstanding of and miscommunication with our dogs leads to them losing their homes, and thousands of animals being unnecessarily destroyed each year.

Response

At Mission: Wolf we help people understand how to communicate with wild canines - how our body language and intent and attention are interpreted by the wolves under our care - and translate for our visitors how this body language and behavior applies to the dogs in their own lives. By understanding how our animals understand us, we can learn to communicate effectively and reduce anxiety in our pets. And if we can learn to communicate effectively with our pets, perhaps we can also learn a thing or two about how to communicate more effectively with our families and our peers.
