Issue

The National Marine Life Center (NMLC) plays a substantial role in the rehab and conservation of marine animals. Thousands of marine animals strand on the shores of New England every year with little chance of survival. As the only rehabilitation center in Massachusetts, NMLC takes in sick and injured wildlife, provides them with the highest form of rehab and then releases them back into their ocean. NMLC is in need of support as they push forward to achieve this mission during these difficult times.

Response

The National Marine Life Center has been caring for these stranded marine animals for over 25 years. With the need for rehab space ever growing, NMLC is committed to being a steadfast facility that will aide in this need. Every year hundreds of marine animals strand and every year NMLC breaks records in number of patients based on specific species. These marine animals are stranding due to natural causes such as disease as well as human causes such as entanglement. NMLC is here to care for those animals and help release them back to the wild.
