2015 marked the effective end of unrestricted invasive experiments on chimpanzees in the United States. Over 300 chimps living in private research institutions needed a forever home and would have to continue living in the research facilities until one was built. Project Chimps is answering that call and developing their property in northern Georgia to provide a forever sanctuary for these chimpanzees. 104 chimps are now in residence, but there are many more waiting for their turn.
