Autism Service Dogs of America was founded in 2002 as a community-based organization to help children with autism, and their families, access their own communities more successfully. ASDA places autism service dogs nationwide and continues to see incredible success with every service dog team.

ASDA's service dogs provide physical safety and an emotional anchor for children with autism. The service dog’s calming presence can minimize and often eliminate emotional outbursts, enabling the child to more fully participate in community and family activities. Having a service dog helps increase opportunities for the child to develop social and language skills with others.
