One hundred years ago there were an estimated 100,000 Asian elephants in Thailand alone. Today, their numbers have declined to 3,500-5000 due to a multitude of threats ranging from the desire for ivory to the loss of habitat. The notion of extinction is no longer just a concern; it is the new reality.
Boon Lott’s Elephant Sanctuary (BLES) strives to rescue and protect the elephants of Thailand like Mr. Moo, an Asian Bull, from abuse and extinction. BLES allows rescued elephants to live their lives in a safe, natural environment where they can act like elephants! Mr. Moo is the inspiration for this campaign tee and we have combined efforts to help raise funds for BLES with Denver-based band Something Underground who wrote an incredible song called "Mr. Elephant." Something Underground is a power trio who blends harmonizing vocals and crushes songs with a whole lotta love. They have been lucky enough to spend time at BLES while touring Thailand and is proud to support this incredible non-profit.
