$8 of every item purchased will be donated to Grevy's Zebra Trust

Issue

Grevy’s zebra are endangered. Only 2,500 remain in the arid landscapes of northern Kenya and Ethiopia. Over 90% of the world’s remaining Grevy’s zebra are in Kenya. Once hunted for its magnificent skin, the Grevy’s zebra is now threatened by loss of grazing habitat, limited access to water and poaching for small-scale subsistence food.

Response

The Grevy’s Zebra Trust conserves the Grevy’s zebra and its fragile habitat in partnership with local communities. We bring together women, elders, warriors and children in a united effort to save the species. Through this unique partnership we monitor trends in Grevy’s zebra populations, we proactively manage grazing and water, we protect Grevy’s zebra and other wildlife from poaching, and we foster positive attitudes towards conservation.
