EVEN MORE CHARITIES
Issue
Every year, approximately 3.9 million dogs enter shelters across the United States. 31% of those dogs, a heartbreaking 1.2 million, will be euthanized. The vast majority of these dogs are euthanized simply because shelters are overcrowded and under-resourced.
Response
RMLR is an entirely volunteer run organization that seeks out and re-homes Labrador Retrievers and Lab mixes. With a focus on dogs in rural ‘high kill’ shelters, RMLR transports dogs back to Colorado and provides necessary veterinary care before placing them into a dedicated foster home where they can settle in to the good life before being adopted into a carefully chosen forever home.
