For Love Of All Things

Issue

The endangered African Wild Dog (also known as the Painted Dog or Painted Wolf) faces threats of snare poaching, habitat loss and human-wildlife conflict. This has resulted in fewer than 550 roaming our wild spaces in South Africa and only 39 distinct sub-populations left in Africa.

Response

Wildlife ACT is working tirelessly, 365 days a year, to save the Painted Dog from extinction through intensive monitoring, by funding and fitting tracking and anti-snare collars, and by reintroducing new populations into protected areas within KwaZulu-Natal. Help Wildlife ACT achieve their ultimate goal of ensuring the protection of the African Painted Dog into the future.
