For Love Of All Things

Issue

Chimpanzees, humankind's closest relative, are kept as test subjects for laboratory experiments, entertainment at circuses and pets for personal amusement. After decades of inhumane confinement if they are lucky enough to be 'retired' from their lives of imprisonment they are unfit to be returned to the wild and need a place to live and be cared for.

Response

This week your purchase will allow Save the Chimps to provide a sanctuary where retired chimpanzees can walk in the grass, swing from the trees and have an opportunity to experience a life of freedom and choice. With 12 islands made up of grass hills, palm trees and climbing structures the sanctuary can accommodate up to 300 chimpanzees.
