Chimpanzees, often captured from the wild as infants, are kept as pets, trained for entertainment and used as test subjects in labs by biomedical testing facilities. Once discarded from those industries, the Chimpanzees have few options to live out their lives in peace.
Located on a 26-acre farm in the Cascade mountains outside Seattle, WA, Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest provides a sanctuary where 'retired' Chimpanzees can enjoy a rich social life filled with adventure and choice in an exciting indoor and outdoor environment.
