In today’s era of global warming and human expansion, plants and animals are disappearing at an alarming rate and the natural systems all humans depend on are at serious risk. In the United States alone, scientists estimate that more than 500 species have disappeared in the past 200 years.

Response

The Endangered Species Coalition is working to protect our nation’s disappearing wildlife and last remaining wild places through education, outreach and citizen involvement.  ESC aims to preserve and maintain the protections provided by the Endangered Species Act for thousands of plant and animal species, like the gray wolf, that are at risk of extinction.
