For Love Of All Things

Issue

When animals used in laboratory research have reached the end of what researchers consider to be their ‘useful lives’ they are often left with no place to go. In many cases these animals have never been socialized, been on a walk, experienced the outdoors or even touched grass.

Response

Kindness Ranch provides a sanctuary and place of rehabilitation for all types of animals who have previously been used in laboratory research. Dogs, cats, horses, pigs, sheep and cows are rehabilitated on the 1000 acre ranch and receive round-the-clock care to help them adjust to their new lives. Those who are too debilitated, old or ill to be placed in a loving, forever home can remain on the ranch to live out their days, surrounded by caretakers and volunteers who put the animals’ well-being first.
